It was a great turn out with some beautiful museum built boats. Hopefully we can build on this event for a greater showing in October at the Wooden Boat Festival.

REAL Louisiana Wooden Boats
These are recent donations to the Madisonville Maritime Museum. Built by Raymond Sedotal completely out of cypress. The plan is for one to go in the museum and one in the water.

Getting close
© Stephen Legendre 2011Despite the weather I have managed to finish the bottom exterior. I'm really happy that it came out so smooth and that the fiberglass weave is well buried. I finally looked at the interior and once I get it flipped, it should go pretty quick. I'm hoping by spring to be back on the water.
